On December 4, 2017 the “Poytaht” Business Center hosted a Roundtable dedicated to discussion of the Concept for preparation and publication of a Citizen’s budget. The event was held within the framework of the joint Project of UNDP and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on "Support to Public Finance Management (PFM) Reforms in Uzbekistan".
On 14 November, 2017 a Scientific-practical conference to discuss the current issues in the public finance management (PFM) area of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in the capital's Business centre "Poytakht". More than 50 participants representing various ministries and government agencies, research and higher educational institutions, international organizations including UNDP, IMF, World Bank and many others discussed the current challenges and possible solutions for problems, that create impediments for enhancing reforms in the area of public procurement, promoting greater fiscal transparency, establishing well-functioning internal and external audit systems, promoting medium-term budget planning and etc.
On October 25, 2017 a Workshop on “Introduction of internal audit and interaction of agencies on state financial control in Uzbekistan” was held at the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Training Centre under the Ministry of Finance and UNDP Project “Support to Public Finance Management Reforms in Uzbekistan” (SPFM). The event has been attended by more than 80 participants including experts of the Chamber of Accounts, Main Department of the State Financial Control, internal auditors of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education, Ministry of Public Education, the staff of the Extra-Budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance and others.
On October 5-12, 2017 a group of senior experts from the State Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance and the state-owned “Xalq Bank” of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Republic of Azerbaijan to get acquainted with and exchange experience in reforming labour and social protection, as well as pension security systems of Azerbaijan.
On 27 November 2015 a round table to discuss the initial results of the Uzbekistan’s Budget Code approbation and develop recommendations on its practical application in was held in the capital’s “Poytaht” business center
On 20 November, 2015 a press conference entitled "The importance of involving small businesses in the system of public procurement" was hosted by the Treasury under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the National Press Center.
The press event aimed at acquainting the media with the work done by the Treasury in order to attract small businesses in public procurement, as well as recently introduced innovations and changes.
On 17 November, 2015 a seminar "The budget process: international experience and current practice in the Republic of Uzbekistan», organized for the students of Banking and Finance Academy, practitioners, students and graduates of the Tashkent Institute of Finance was held in the conference hall of the capital's Radisson Hotel. The main objective of the seminar was to present the budget process based on best international practices and current practice in Uzbekistan.
On 14 November, 2015 a seminar to discuss the issues of reforming the fiscal accounting in the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with IPSAS, as well as the draft Standards of budget accounting was held in the capital's business center "Poytaht".
Reforming Uzbekistan’s accounting system and its National Public Sector Accounting Standards (NPSAS), based on the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), is considered to be one of the main directions for complex reforms of the national budget system.
There is a clear need to reform Uzbekistan’s accounting system and NPSAS as it is the accounting and reporting system that accumulate information about the financial results of the public sector’s governance performance. This information is crucial for making quality and timely decisions regarding public sector governance.
A workshop entitled "Treasury based system of the State budget execution", organized for the media representatives was held in the capital's business center "Poytaht". It was attended by the representatives of news agencies, newspapers, TV and radio news programs, as well as web sites.
On November 22, 2014 the Project organized the first introductory workshop on adapting IPSAS into the national system of accounting and reporting in the public sector for the students of the Training Center under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On October 9-10, 2014 a workshop on gender budgeting was held in the capital city’s "Poytakht" business center. The learning event participants discussed not only the general concepts such as gender budgeting, gender statistics and gender analysis features, but also quite new concepts for Uzbekistan such as "Unpaid work and the economy of care.

Initial version of the draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Public Procurement” and draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On measures for further improvement of public procurement of goods (works, services)", have been discussed during the extended meeting of the Interagency Working Group held on 14-16 February 2014 in Tashkent region.
A roundtable dedicated to discussing the National Public Sector Accounting Standards (NPSAS), including ‘Intangible Assets’, ‘Borrowing Costs Accounting’ and ‘Revenue’, took place at Tashkent’s ‘Poytakht’ business centre on the 7th of December, 2013.
The workshop titled ‘Good international practices in Public Procurement – Prospects for application in Uzbekistan’ was held at the ‘Poytakht’ Business Centre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Organised by the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan jointly with UNDP project ‘Budget System Reform in Uzbekistan’, the workshop aimed at reviewing current situation in the area of public procurement in Uzbekistan, and how to enhance the PP system based good international practices.
Mr. Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov, Head of the Treasury-Deputy Minister of Finance hosted a meeting with representatives of UNDP CPAP 2010-2015 Mid-Term Evaluation Team on October 7, 2013 at the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The Budget Code of Uzbekistan, developed by an interagency working group of specialists from government agencies and independent experts was presented on 12 August 2013 at the 'Poytakht' Business Centre. The main purpose of the meeting was to present the draft Budget Code to international partner organisations, and to discuss its main provisions and innovations that comply with foreign best practices.
